![]() Bus passengers using Christchurch High Street are set to benefit from improvements by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council that will make their journey safer and more efficient. The work involves providing better bus shelters fitted with real time information and raised curbs to allow easy level access on and off the bus. ZCD welcomes this investment to support more sustainable travel options for people living and working in the town. ![]() The Bourne Stream flows from Canford Heath to Bournemouth Pier. A group of local organisations, including BCP Council, the Environment Agency, Natural England, Bournemouth University, local wildlife trusts, and Bournemouth and Wessex Water companies has come together to re-form the Bourne Stream Partnership. The aim is to find the best ways to keep the water clean, protect wildlife, and ensure a healthy environment for everyone to enjoy. ZCD sees this kind of collaborative effort as essential if we are to protect and restore our precious water ways and reverse the massive decline in wildlife. ZCD urges the partnership to engage in a meaningful way with the community so that the full benefits are realised for both people and wildlife in such an urban setting. |
